I'm back! A long three hour journey from Leicester. Left Cardiff on Friday afternoon and stayed there at my friends house, we left Leicester for Cosford, Wolverhampton at 6am Saturday morning for the big day. It was only an hour and a half from Leicester to the paintball site compare to the 4-5 hour journey from Cardiff. Arrived there at around 7:30am. When we arrived there were already several teams waiting at the drop off. This year I played for Kaizoku. Each teams were assigned a small booth, we settled in as quickly as possible, unpacked all our equipments and gears and we were ready to lock and load! We took a few minutes setting up our markers, filling up the air tanks and testing them out at the firing range.
The tournament started at about 9am right after the team briefings and safety issues were annouced. The tournament went really well and smooth, we won all the preliminary rounds and won the final game against Sheffield Siege. It was quite a long battle, quite a defensive team but in the end we put our hearts into it and finished off the remaining opponents on the field. I did bring my camera but wasn't really in the mood for taking photos as I was already hyped up from the game and I still am. Before the prize giving ceremony, we had a massive battle where all the players were rounded up and put into two groups of 50 each. Paintball Brawl! That was a fun experience, I got shot from all different places but I was lucky and I managed to shoot quite a few number of players at a very long range. Overall, I really needed this weekend off, I'm not 100% stress free but it's a start and now I can start off my assignments with a fresh and a clear , unclouded mind. (More photos soon)
