Busy!!!

Photobucket

Wow!! It's been ahwile since I last updated this blog. I really do apologise about that, been really busy lately. I've got projects due soon and I recently had an exam on Architectural Conservation. It's been quite hectic these past weeks. I haven't really held my camera in while and I'm not feeling that inspired yet, hopefully I will soon. I'm thinking of going out tomorrow and taking few shots in town and probably drop by and check out the progress of the new shopping complex, St. David's 2. I might aswell drop by Jessops or Cameraland too and have a look at the Nikon D90.

Asda Trip

Photobucket

If I'm not mistaken, I think it's been 3 years plus since I last went to Asda. It was sometime in November 2005, went there with Amin, Pman and Jip to get supplies for our Hari Raya open house. I'm not sure wether it's cheaper to buy groceries at Asda or Tesco, but I know that Asda has a variety of Halal meat products. Went there yesterday with Amir and Zemah.

Sigma and Nikon Lens

Photobucket
Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 EX DG Macro Lens

"This large aperture standard zoom lens provides superior performance both for Digital SLR Cameras and 35mm Film SLR Cameras. To achieve an F2.8 aperture at all focal lengths, it employs three aspherical Lens to provide optimum aberration compensation. Two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass elements are provided for colour aberration compensation, to assure high image quality."

Photobucket
Nikon 50mm f1.4 AF-S Lens

"The Nikon AF-S 50mm f/1.4G lens is a fast, fixed focal-length lens that incorporates the built-in Silent Wave Motor (SWM) enabling smooth and quiet autofocus with Nikon DSLR's including the D40, D40x and D60. The improved optical system delivers fantastic image quality minimising both flare and chromatic aberration while the use of a circular aperture diaphragm means out of focus background blur appears more natural. During focusing all the lens groups shift but the front element and filter mount do not rotate and the barrel length does not change, making it an ideal lens for close-up photography or when using SB-R200 Wireless Remote Speedlight units. The lens has has two focus modes, M/A (manual-priority autofocus) and M (manual focus). When mounted on a DX-format SLR, the picture angle is equivalent to a focal length of about 75mm in 35mm format."

Happy New Year 2009

Hello Hello 2009! 2008 is over and so much has been done, time passes by so quickly these days. 2008 has been such a busy year for me and I'm sure 2009 will be more hectic. I've got a few projects to submit and prepare for my exams. A lot of things to be done this year but I'm really looking forward to it.

Last night the Bruneians of Cardiff celebrated their New Year countdown in Cardiff City Centre. Earlier we drop by to the BDSSW president's house to hang out before we all head off to town. Since we had a few hours to kill, some of us joined the guys playing Call of Duty World at World. I haven't actullay played the solo missions yet, we were more eager to play the Zombie missions. I've been playing Call of Duty Modern Warefare on online multiplayer lately. I'm not really good at it but I've already reached the level where I have most of the weapons I enjoyed using.

Enough about that, we all had our dinner there. Thanks for the food guys, I really like the chicken. It's really been ahwile since I've eating 'actual' chicken and what I mean by 'actual', lately I've been eating Quorn products, basically artificial chicken.

"Mycoprotein is the ingredient common to all Quorn products.

Mycoprotein is a healthy, meat-free form of high quality protein and is also a good source of dietary fibre."
