Night Out

Photobucket
(Queen Street, Cardiff)

It's been awhile since I been out to town or even touched my camera. Wasn't really feeling inspired anyway. Our Easter holidays has started and I really need this break, been working non stop for the past weeks. I need to take some time off and starting taking more photos. I'll probably drop by the Cardiff Malaysian Games in Talybont Sports Centre tomorrow. The Bruneiens will be involved in Netball, Futsal for both men and women and probably basketball if I'm not mistaken.

It's already Easter, but it still feels quite cold outside. I've been thinking of going out for a jog, maybe I'll start next week, hope it doesn't rain.

Note to self: "Lose some weight fat boy!!!"

Cardiff's National Day Celebration

Photobucket

I haven't been feeling well since yesterday noon, probably somthing I ate, but what a day! The BDSSW celebrated the 25th Silver Jubilee National Day of Brunei Darussalam yesterday. The theme for this years celebration was 'Cahaya Pertiwi'. As I've mentioned in my previous post, I went to the rehersals for the event and to be honest it didn't went well, but yesterday it went really smooth and it really showed how committed they were. Good job guys! Unfortunately, the Brunei Student Unit in London were not able to witness the celebration since they had a similar event also. The guest of honour invited to the event was John Phillips, Dean of the University of Wales Institute Cardiff's International Affairs.

I don't know about everyone else but I enjoyed the last performance. Nazmie, Azmil, Amin and Aiman perform on stage singing Zainal Abidin's Ikhlas tapi Jauh. Great job guys! While they were performing, some of the BDSSW members went up on stage, sang and dance along with them.

As always, after the event has ended, they finished off the day with a photo session. Bruneians in Cardiff are known to be quite photogenic. I managed to take a quite few photos during the session, but will not be posting them up here yet and I won't be post proccessing them anytime soon as I still got lots of important deadlines to meet.
